As someone who has grown up with dogs I know how important your furry friends are to you. That is why we at Realty Pro Inspection take the initiative to do pet friendly inspections. A pet friendly inspection looks for any potential hazards your pet may want to get into. This service is free for any client with a pet. If you have a pet, we will make sure we include them in our inspection.
For a pet friendly inspection, we will:
- Get down at the pet’s view
- Check for potential choking/suffocation hazards
- Check for fencing
- Check for electrical wires
- Check for plants (some are hazardous to dogs)
- Checking for good wire mesh screens if pet is a cat (cats are known for falling out of windows)
- Inspect flooring (hardwood can be easier to maintain than carpet)
Certain plants are harmful to dogs. These include Autumn Crocus, Azealia, Daffodil, kalanchoe, and tulips. A list of common plants harmful to dogs may be found at https://www.petmd.com/dog/slideshows/emergency/poisonous-plants-to-dogs for a more in depth list try https://www.proflowers.com/blog/poisonous-plants. Safer options include Roses, sunflowers, pansies, marigold, magnolia bush, and sage.
